Ibraheem Youssef

Today, while browsing the internet, I came across Ibraheem Youssef, a designer from Toronto.

This man is super-talented. In particular I love his newfangled prints for the films of Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino. His work is strong, simple, and bold -- aesthetically pleasing. Remember when movie posters were glorious modes of color, invention, and escape? When in some cases they were as good as the films they advertised? Youssef does. Whatever pantheon Bob Peak and Richard Amsel belong to, he joins it.

With his kind permission, I uploaded the poster for Tarantino's Death Proof here and here:

He's an original.

Baby's on fire
And all the laughing boys are bitching
Waiting for photos
Oh the plot is so bewitching.
