Something long in the making: my own rumination on a man synonymous to the west with modern Japanese film (which goes to show that you need to spend more time watching Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Takshi Miike, and a lot more)...Takeshi 'Beat' Kitano. What do his films mean, in their overall context? I tell you, and I review Kids Return, Fireworks, and Zatoichi.

Joe, (always watching those damned Americans), will give us the reason to love Sky Captain And The World of Tomorrow, and maybe, for the first time in my life, convince me to listen to a Prince album.
